grateful

i think i'm going to start posting things that i'm grateful for occasionally - starting today.  the first is the organization, "now i lay me down to sleep."  they captured the memories of my first little one - our little boy. i'm forever grateful for them.

that being said - i wanted to also note a second thing that i'm grateful for - my family.  especially my little girl. not a moment goes by that i don't realize how terribly lucky i am to have them both in my life.

i've always been fascinated with marionettes.  when I was little my mom bought me one as a gift and i absolutely loved it! i think the ones made in this video are pretty amazing.

time to celebrate

today we're celebrating my birthday.  it was this past week and it was one very, long week full of stress and unexpected chaos. anyway, it's over and i'm finally able to relax...and i cannot wait to eat some cake !

baby it's cold outside.

the temperature really dropped here today.  it's windy and it's cold. cold in the way that i just can't seem to ever feel warm.  i think a nice cup of hot chocolate might do the trick.

back to ballet.

it's been awhile since i've taken a ballet class.  it was something that was an integral part of my life for years.  i loved the intensity, the discipline, the long hours of rehearsals...i loved everything about it. after almost two years i'm finally ready to go back .. it's taken me awhile to get here - to want to take class in the way that i had wanted to before.  life had some challenges for me - some good, some bad - but now it's time and i'm really looking forward to it.
